Nothing says summer more than iced cold lemonade! However, the Country Time variety doesn’t quite fit into my version of a favorite beverage. I prefer the variety without all the added colors, preservatives, and loads of sugar. If you have a juicer on hand or a heavy duty blender give this refreshing combo a whirl! Your tastebuds will thank you!
And yes, there is sugar in it, just from apples instead of the packaged variety!
Juiced Up Lemonade
Ingredients
- 3 lemons

- 4-6 green apples
- 1″ ginger
- Optional: a sprig of lavender or rosemary or basil
- Sparkling water, such as Topo Chico to top off & mellow out the flavors!
Remember to peel the lemons before juicing! Serve over ice and top it off with the sparkling water. Make this as intense or subtle as you like! If you prefer it to be sweeter, add in more apples! Now it’s time to sit back and sip on this! If you’re craving something a little harder, try it with a splash of vodka or gin!
What’s your favorite variety of lemonade?
